Creations By JaDore LLC. FAQ’s

What is Resin Art?

Resin Art is a form of Art.

Resin Art can be wall art, home décor pieces, or objects created by casting Resin - The options are limitless, and whatever your imagination desires.

What is Epoxy Resin?

Epoxy resins are a two-component system consisting of resin and hardener. By mixing the two components, a chemical reaction takes place so that the liquid resin gradually hardens to a solid plastic.

The result is a high-gloss, clear surface. For the sake of simplicity, I will usually use the term “resin” instead of “epoxy resin”. Resin is not only used in industry and boat building, but also in art. Thus, besides kitchen counters, floors, tables, pictures, jewelry, or sculptures can also be cast.

What Materials Do You Use?

The primary materials I use for all pieces is epoxy resin and an array of pigments.

Other materials I incorporate vary from stones, tempered glass, flowers, and even led lighting. The materials are endless so therefore anything is possible.

How Long Does It Take To Make?

Completion time has many variables per piece so its case by case. I will give a time estimate of completion within your quote that you will receive.

How hard is resin once cured?

Epoxy resin is very firm and hard once cured and is heat resistant and scratch resistant.

Is cured resin waterproof?

Yes, epoxy resin is a permanent application that seals in whatever it is poured over top of and protects the work underneath from water.

Can Resin Art Be Hung Outside?

Epoxy resin contains advanced UV and Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers to protect it from degradation (i.e., yellowing) caused by UV light, however exposing it deliberately to UV light is still not recommended to be safe.

What's The Cure Time Of Epoxy Resin?

Cure time refers to the amount of time it takes for the resin mixture to finish its chemical reaction and become its hardest state. The epoxy resin cure time is 24 hours (hard cure), however you can touch the surface after about 8 hours without it feeling sticky. It reaches its full cure at 72 hours.

How To Clean Cured Resin?

Keeping Your Epoxy Resin Pieces Clean and Beautiful

Keeping epoxy resin pieces clean is amazingly simple: just treat it like glass. Use a gentle glass cleaner and a soft cloth and polish as you would glass.

Can I Buy A Piece Online?

Unfortunately, I do not sell any of my pieces online.

Do You Ship Pieces?

I do local sells only; I do not ship any of my pieces. However, in the future I do plan to expand to other state where my art will be available so please stay tuned.

What Else Do You Make?

I also create unique custom domino sets.
